Abstract

An air conditioner in which an air outlet path (23) leading from an indoor fan (11) to an air outlet opening (24) is a single path and in which there is no partition member in the air outlet path (23). In an operation mode in which one part of an indoor heat exchanger (30) is used as an evaporator and the other part is used as a condenser, a control device controls a refrigerant flow path control section such that a second front face heat exchange section (6B) functions as the evaporator and both a first front face heat exchange section (6A) and a rear face heat exchange section (5) function as the condenser, and at the same time, the control device controls first and second horizontal flaps (31, 32) and first and second vertical flaps (33, 34) such that a local space in a room is heated and at the same time another local space is cooled.
