Abstract

Provided is an EL element which does not permit performance to be deteriorated due to manufacturing process at a high temperature, with suppressed quantum dot aggregation in a light emitting layer even under a high temperature condition of 90°C, and maintains light emitting characteristics for a long period of time with high durability. The electroluminescence element is provided with a pair of electrodes, and an electroluminescence layer, which is arranged between the pair of electrodes by containing at least the light emitting layer. The light emitting layer contains a quantum dot whose surface is protected by at least one kind of protecting material. Such protecting material has a glass transition temperature and a melting point of 90°C or higher.
