Abstract

　外部に向かって照明光を発光するバックライト装置（２）であって、白色の光を発光する白色の発光ダイオード（４）と、ＰＷＭ調光を用いて、発光ダイオード（４）の点灯駆動を制御可能に構成されたＬＥＤ点灯回路（点灯制御部）（１２）を備え、ＬＥＤ点灯回路（１２）は、ＰＷＭ調光でのデューティ比のオン時間と、発光ダイオード（４）に供給される供給電流値とを変更することにより、照明光の色調を調整する。
