Abstract

A liquid-absorbing sheet for absorbing an exudate from food such as fish or meat which sheet is improved in handleability, more specifically, a liquid-absorbing sheet (1) made of a nonwoven fabric containing at least 60wt% of core-sheath type conjugated fibers (2) whose sheaths are fusion-bonded to each other. Further, when the nonwoven fabric is divided in the thicknesswise direction into ten equal layers, namely, the first to tenth layers, it is essential that the densities of the first and tenth layers are higher than the average of the densities of the central layers, namely, the fifth and sixth layers.
