Abstract

The present invention relates to an acoustic amplifying horn used as impedance match between a microphone diaphragm and the air. The purpose of this use is to increase the gain of the microphone.

Description

Description
HORN MICROPHONE
Technical Field
[I] The Horn Microphone is considered a further refinement of current microphone technology
Background Art [2] A microphone is a sound instrument capable of converting acoustic sound energy into electrical signal. [3] There are several types of microphone design. For example moving coil, ribbon, condenser. These microphones operate under the direct radiation of sound pressure waves and their operation is well understood.
[4] The term 'acoustic amplifying horn' is taken to mean, but not limited to, an approximately conical shaped pipe, where one end is wider than the other end and where the microphone diaphragm is placed at the narrower end.
Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem [5] To increase microphone gain
Technical Solution [6] The use of acoustic amplifying horn to match impedance between microphone diaphragm and the air, thereby increasing efficiency, therefore increasing gain.
Advantageous Effects [7] Increase of microphone gain
Description of Drawings [8]
Best Mode [9]
Mode for Invention [10]
Industrial Applicability
[II] The present invention can be applied to many different microphone designs, using infinte variations of acoustic amplifying horn design in order to increase gain. Sequence List Text
