Abstract

A method of treating animal feces characterized by comprising thermally decomposing the animal feces in a reductive atmosphere to thereby separate the same into a carbide and a gas component, feeding a minor amount of an oxygen component to the carbide separated above, thus gasifying the above-described carbide and separating an inorganic component contained in the carbide from the above-described carbide, thereby forming a ceramic. It is preferable the animal feces as described above are chicken feces, swine feces, bovine feces, equine feces or a mixture thereof.
