Abstract
L'invention concerne des procédés et appareils pour imager, évaluer et mesurer de façon précise le pigment maculaire d'un patient. Un filtre multibande est employé en combinaison avec une caméra de fond d'œil numérique en couleur pour fournir un procédé qui fonctionne avec une exposition à simple imagerie. Le filtre multibande a dés régions passe-bande à l'intérieur des plages spectrales des détecteurs du rouge, du vert et du bleu du réseau CCD employé à l'intérieur de la caméra de fond d'œil, les régions passe-bande étant définies de façon suffisamment précise de façon à éviter des régions où les réponses de détecteur CCD sont spectralement chevauchantes. Ceci fournit trois canaux discrets de données de l'échelle de gris correspondant aux régions passe-bande du filtre multibande, qui peuvent être utilisées pour calculer le pigment maculaire de façon topographique. L'invention concerne également des procédés pour calculer la densité optique du pigment maculaire et avantageusement afficher les données résultantes.
