Abstract

Method of authenticating a user on the basis of a piece of equipment (3), and a trusted third party (1) and a data medium (2) comprising a unique identifier in its memory means (20), the method comprising prior steps in which data belonging to a profile characteristic of the user are coded and recorded by servers (26) and databases (25) belonging to the trusted third party (1) so as to generate a coded profile comprising coded-profile coded data, the coded profile being associated with the unique identifier, and in that the method comprises: a step (33, 34) of transmitting the unique identifier to the trusted third party (1), a step (35) of dispatching data of the coded profile associated with the unique identifier to the piece of equipment (3), and a step (36) of authenticating the user on the basis of the coded data of the coded profile.
