Abstract

Procédé pour le traitement d'eaux usées chargées en sulftures et en ammonium, en particulier d'eaux usées d'origine urbaine ou industrielle ou des retours de digestion, des condensats, des lixiviats.Les eaux usées subissent d'abord un traitement anoxique (1) par voie biologique en cultures libres selon lequel, dans une première étape (1a), le carbone organique est essentiellement éliminé par des bactéries hétérotrophes, et dans une deuxième étape (1b), séparée de la première, les sulfures sont oxydés par voie biologique par des bactéries autotrophes avec réduction des nitrites ou des nitrates; l'effluent sortant de la deuxième étape (1b) est soumis ô un traitement biologique aérobie en cultures libres (2) pour la transformation de l'ammonium en nitrates. Le couplage avec un réacteur (9) biologique aérobie séquentiel (SBR) permet de compenser un déficit éventuel en nitrates.
