Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an adjustable aquarium heater.
  • Background art aquarium heaters are currently known which use as a heating element a resistor which, when crossed by an electric current, becomes warm due to the Joule effect.
  • Such heating element is contained in a containment body which is generally cylindrical and is suitable to keep it separate from the water of the aquarium.

  • Heater models are currently known which have glass containment bodies which are transparent but fragile, to the full detriment of safety, while models with unbreakable bodies are made of metal or non-transparent plastic material and therefore do not have the light-emitting element, since it cannot be seen from outside, and therefore they do not allow an immediate verification of the state of activity of the heater.
  • the operating conditions of the heater on the part of the user usually differ greatly from the calibration conditions, since a very large number of parameters, such as the capacity of the aquarium, the water circulation flows and the heat dispersion of the tank, are involved, and therefore the user generally does not find a match between the temperature set by means of the heater and the actual temperature of the water, which can be estimated for example with a thermometer immersed in the aquarium.
