Description
LAYOUT OF DOCUMENT OR OTHER ITEMS CARRIER TYPE
ENVELOP AND HIGH PRODUCTIVITY METHOD FOR
APPLICATION OF DOCUMENT OR OTHER ITEMS CARIOER
TYPE ENVELOPS ON OBJECTS The present descriptive report refers to an invention patent covering a document or other items carrier envelop and an optimized application method of it on objects, pertaining to the office supply segment, which received a layout to become a self-adhesive article and thus incorporate the supply and application facilities of this type of article. Some envelops are already available, generally transparent or at least having part of them transparent, which are glued on the external part of an object, such as for example, a packing and designed to receive and contain a document or other items to be attached to the object, such as for example, the Bill of Sale. Generally these envelops are supplied on an individual basis, and which are conveniently handled to be glued on the receiving object and which include a document or other items. This mean of presentation adequately satisfies part of the applications, but for others that involve large quantities of objects that should to have documents or σ&ers items attached, these individual envelops can be unsatisfactory, due mainly to the low productivity in the application.
Thus, the objective of the present invention patent is to provide a document and other items carrier so as to eliminate the problem mentioned above.
Another objective is to provide an envelop that, in addition to eliminate the problem, would not be constructed or manufactured with complexity levels that would make it uninteresting to the users. Another objective is to provide an envelop of adequate cost. Thus, taking into consideration the issue mentioned above and in order
to eliminate it as well as aiming to achieve the related objectives, the layout for a document carrier envelop was developed, object of the present patent of utility model, based on which the envelop is self-adhesive, originally supplied as many other several glued envelops so that they can be removed from a liner, similarly to self-adhesive articles such as labels, tags and similar products, each envelop having at least the front face transparent and formed essentially: by a part in form of a wrapper; and having a closing tab at the access of the wrapper; by layers of adhesive product sensible to pressure provided in the wrapper and tab, and by a two row liner: one having originally the wrappers glued so that they can be unglued and the other line formed by individual parts of liner on which originally are glued so that they can be unglued the respective tabs of the envelops, whereas the set comprised of several envelops and liners is supplied in rolls, adequate to be operated by an applying machine of the labeling type. This type of envelop construction eliminates the problem of similar individual and conventional envelops as it enables the continuous application of a large quantity of envelops in corresponding receiving objects, similarly to what occurs in application of labels or tags or other types of self-adhesives. Another advantage of the present envelop consists in the fact that, in addition to solving the problem mentioned above, it presents low level of construction and manufacturing complexity, specifically for companies that are manufacturers of self-adhesive articles, thus not becoming uninteresting when compared to other usual envelops. Another advantage is that the present envelop, in addition to the facilities that it offers, does not present an inadequate application cost when compare to other usual ones.

Fig. 9 shows the section of an envelop in use, this means, glued on a receiving object, such envelop containing a document or other item to se attached to the receiving object and closed.
According to the illustrations mentioned in the figures mentioned above, envelop 1, object of the present patented invention, is designed to be glued externally to a receiving object 100 which can be for example, a packing or other items e to receive internally a document or other item 200 to be attached on object 100 (fig. 9).
Such envelope 1 (figs. IA, IB and 2) contemplates, essentially: two equal parts preferably rectangular, a rear 2 and a front 2'; a peripheral welding 3 that joins the walls; a cut performed on the rear wall 2, located next and in parallel to one of the side of the envelop and which defines an access 4 and which constitutes a wrapper 5 which will receive the document or other items 200; and a closing tab 6 constituted by a this line extended between the access 4 and one side of the envelop parallel to that access. The envelop in entirely transparent or has at least the front wall 2' which is directed externally when such envelop is presented applied on the receiving object 100, transparent, so that a person can see the document or other item 200 within the envelop.
The present patent consist in providing the envelope with a self- adhesive function, similar to labels or tags or any other self-adhesive articles and thus the envelope is equipped with an adhesive layer sensible to rear pressure(figs. 1 and 2), formed: by a first layer of adhesive sensible to pressure 10 applied on the external surface of the parts of the rear wall 2 corresponding to the wrapper 5; and by a second layer of adhesive sensible to pressure 10' applied on the external surface of the rear wall range 2 constitutive of the closing tab 6. Most of the self-adhesive envelops 1 are originally glued so that it can be unglued on a paper tape or siliconed plastic, liner, formed: by a first continued liner tape 20, on which are originally glued so that they can be unglued the parts of the envelopes 1 constitutive of wrappers 5, gluing performed through the first layers of adhesive sensible to the pressure 10 external to the parts of the rear walls 2 of the wrappers 5; e by a second discontinued liner tape, parallel and adjacent to the first, with transversal cuts 20' that form parts of the individual liner tape 20", on which originally are glued to that they can be unglued the respective closing tabs 6, gluing
performed through the second adhesive layers 10' foreseen externally on the rear wall range 1 constitutive of the tab.
The envelops 1 regularly spaced one from the others and originally glued on the line 20 tapes 20" form a tape of self adhesive envelopes 1-20- 20", supplied in the form of a roll 30 (fig. 3).
A tape of self adhesive envelops 1-20-20" can be manufactured using the continuous process substantially similar to the one used in manufacture of tapes of labels or tags or any other self adhesive articles.
The self adhesive envelops, as described above, are applied using an equipment of the labeling type 50 generally used in application of self adhesive articles, including essentially (fig. 4): an unrolling shaft 51, on which the roll 30 of self adhesive envelop tape 1-20-20" is supported and is free to turn; per detaching blade 52 around which is bent and passes the self adhesive envelop tape 1-20-20", so that its part constituted by the closing tabs 6 glued on the individual liner parts 20" is protruded from the detaching blade 52, thus, detaching of the tabs 6 from the respective parts of the individual liner parts 20" does not occur, and the part of the self adhesive envelops tape 1-20-20" constituted by the wrapper 5 glued on the continuous liner tape 20 remains bent around the detaching border of the detaching blade 52, through which passes and where the envelopes 1 are unglued from the liner tape 20 in the manner known in the art (detachment similar to other self adhesive articles such as labels^ tags and others) and glue on receiving objects 100, that pass in queue next to the free detaching border of the detaching blade 52 operated by the transporter 60; and by a rewinding shaft 53 that tractions and rewinds the first tape of liner 20 already without the envelops.
An envelop 1 glued on an object 100 prior to receiving the document or other item 200 remains (δg 5) with the wrapper 5 glued on a permanent
mode, through the adhesive layer 20 of the rear wall 2, on the external surface of the object 100 which can be, for example, a box, which the closing tab 6 containing the part of the individual liner 20" is unglued from the object surface 100 and extended above the access 4 of the envelope, which is thus substantially maintained closed between tab 6 and the object surface 100, however possible to be access and opened for insertion of a document or other item 200 to be attached to object 100.
When the envelop 1 is glued on object 100 as described above, the user can insert a document or other item 200 within the envelope through its access 4 (fig. 6). Then, he extract manually liner 20" from the closing tab 6 (fig. 7) and glues it so that it cannot be unglued from the object surface 100 through the layer of adhesive 10 of such tab (fig. 8).
The self adhesive 1 and the self adhesive envelope tape 1-20-20" formed by several of these envelops, cause thus, a high productivity method for application of self adhesive envelops 1 on receiving objects 100, including: development of a roll 30 of self adhesive tape 1-20-20"; of a queue of objects 100 to receive the respective self adhesive envelops 1. and an equipment of the labeling type 50 of a transporter 60 and the steps to: 1) Mount the self adhesive envelop 1-20-20" tape roll 30 on the unrolling shaft 51 of the labeling equipment 50, pass the self adhesive envelop 1-20-20" tape on the detaching border of the detaching blade 52; fasten the free end of the self adhesive 1-20-20" envelop tape onto the traction and rewinding shaft 53 of the empty liner; and move the self- adhesive envelop 1-20-20" tape to pass through the detaching border where the wrapper 5 of the self adhesive envelops 1 are detached one after the other from the continuous liner 20 and the closing tabs 6 of said envelops 1 continue glued to the respective individual part of the liner 20";
2) Move the queue of the receiving objects 100 of the self adhesive envelops 1 through the transporter 60 so that they pass one after the other adjacent to the detaching border of the detaching blade 52;
3) Foresee the first gluing of envelop 1 in the receiving object 100 to be done when detaching envelop 1 from the liner tape 20, in which the wrapper 5 of envelop 1 is glued on a permanent manner on the surface of object 100 by means of the first rear layer of adhesive 10; the closing tab 6 glued on the individual part of the liner 20" is detached from said surface of object 100; and the access 4 of wrapper 5 is substantially closed between the tab 6 and the object surface 100 and can be opened;
4) Introduction of a document or other item 200 to be attached to object 100 within the wrapper 5 of envelop 1 through opening 4;
5) Extraction of individual part of liner 20" from the closing tab 6; and
6) Closing of envelop 1 containing document or other item 200 and glued on object 100 through gluing of also the closing tab 6 on the surface of the receiving object 100.
At last, (fig. 9) the envelop 1 containing the document or other item 200 has the wrapper 5 and the tab 6 glued in a permanent mode on the surface of receiving object 100, to which it is intended to attach the document or other item 200, so that the access 4 of wrapper 5 is maintained closed by the tab 6. in this situation, the document or other item 200 can be seen through the front transparent wall T and can only be accessed if envelop 1 is tore up.
With the tape of the self adhesive envelops 1-20-20" and the method mentioned above, it is possible, for example, to prepare most of the packs 100, such as boxes, envelops, pouches and other items containing one self adhesive envelop 1 for future usage. It is very practical, for example, in goods or other items dispatch service in transportation organizations, post
offices and others.
Within the basic construction, described above, the envelop, object of the present patent, can present modifications as related to material, dimensions, constructive details and/or of functional and/or ornamental configuration, without hindering the requested protection scope.
Within this, the envelop 1 can be obtained based on material normally used in manufacture of self-adhesive articles, such as paper or plastic, in this case: BOPP; PVC; Polyethylene; Polyester and others.
The adhesive, constitutive of the adhesive layers 10, 10', can be any of those normally used in manufacture of self-adhesive articles, such as the hot melt, acrylic and others.
The liner 20, 20" can be of paper or plastic, coated with silicone (siliconed) or other usual material.
Envelop 1, instead of having a construction similar of the one mentioned above, can have the wrapper 5 defined by front 2' walls 2, that define on one of the side the access 4 and the closing tab 6 constituted by an extension of front wall 2' extended beyond the access 4 or other similar constructions.
Envelop 1, as mentioned before, is preferably fully transparent and can contain some printed information. Optionally, the rear wall 2 of the envelope can be opaque and the front 2' transparent or other arrangements can be developed which enable the use of the label as described above through attachment of a document or other item 200 on an object 100.
