Abstract
【解決手段】 培養容器で培養される試料を観察する観察装置であって、照明光学系を備え、試料を照明する照明部と、撮像素子を備え、照明部により照明された試料の像を撮像して画像を生成する撮像部と、照明光学系の光軸上で、かつ、照明部と撮像部との間に配置され、試料の培養に用いる培地に含まれる添加物の光吸収特性に応じて、照明光学系からの照明光の一部の波長を制限する波長制限フィルタとを備える。したがって、添加物に起因する画像の変化を抑え、自動観察において適切な画像の生成を可能とすることができる。
