Abstract

 本発明の課題は、優れたキサンチンオキシダーゼ阻害作用に基づく、安全性の高い新規な高尿酸血症、痛風、炎症性腸疾患、糖尿病性腎症、糖尿病性網膜症等の治療又は予防薬を、その工業的に有用な製造方法及び製造中間体により提供することにある。  本発明者等は、カルボキシル基が置換したアゾール基と、フェニル基がベンゼン環上にパラ位で置換し、さらに当該ベンゼン環にシアノ基を有することを特徴とするトリアリールカルボン酸誘導体が、強力なキサンチンオキシダーゼ阻害作用を有するとの知見に基づき、当該化合物の製造方法につき鋭意検討した結果、アゾール基をベンゼン環と結合させる手法により、当該化合物を効率的に得ることができることを見出し、本発明を完成した。
