Abstract

　画素値の縦方向勾配量（Ｓｙ）及び横方向勾配量（Ｓｘ）を算出する画素値縦勾配量算出部（３ａ）・画素値横勾配量算出部（３ｂ）と、画素ごとの勾配方向と無方向とのいずれかを特定する勾配方向・無方向特定部（５）と、照合領域に含まれる各画素の勾配方向と、あらかじめ定められたモデルパターンにおける勾配方向とが一致する一致数から、照合領域とモデルパターンとの合致度を算出するスコア算出部（１０）と、探索領域内で、スコア算出部（１０）が算出した合致度が最大値を取る画素であるピーク画素を探索するピーク探索部（１２）と、ピーク画素領域内の、画素ごとの合致度を用いて、撮像対象による前記撮像画像上の指示位置を算出する座標算出部（１４）とを備える。
