Abstract

The invention relates to a switchable valve train part (1) such as a bucket tappet, comprising a housing (2) in the bore (3) of which an inner element (4) runs that is axially movable relative to said bore, said inner element comprising a radially continuous bore (6) comprising two coupler pistons (7) located opposite one another that, in order to create a coupled state, may be brought into engagement in sections with a respective crescent-shaped material clearance (14) in the bore (3) of the housing (2).
