Abstract
A water-and-oil-repellent antifouling antireflection film which has water-and-oil repellency, unsusceptibility to fouling, waterdrop repellency, and durability; a process for producing the film; a lens, glass plate, and glass each having a water-and-oil-repellent antifouling antireflection film formed on a surface thereof; and an optical device, apparatus for utilizing solar energy; and display each employing the film. The water-and-oil-repellent antifouling antireflection film (12) comprises: a platy substrate (1); fine transparent particles (5) with water-and-oil repellency and unsusceptibility to fouling which have been fusion-bonded to asurface of the substrate (1); and a coating film (11) which is made of a water-and-oil-repellent antifouling substance and with which those areas in the surface of the substrate (1) which do not have fine transparent particles (5) fusion-bonded thereto are covered. The surface of each fine transparent particle (5) has been partly fusion-bonded to the surface of the substrate (1), and the exposed part of the particle (5) has been covered with the coating film (11) made of a water-and-oil-repellent antifouling substance.
