Abstract

 本発明は、基板上に少なくとも陽極、陰極、及び該陽極と陰極間に挟まれた発光層を有し、得られる光が白色光を放出する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、該発光層を3層以下の層数で構成し、前記発光層の全体に含まれる発光材料が発光極大波長(λmax)の各々異なる少なくとも4種の発光材料とし、前記4種の発光材料の発光色が、各々青色、緑色、黄赤色及び赤色からなり、且つ3層以下の層数で構成される前記発光層の少なくとも1層以上において、2種以上の発光材料を同時に含有することで、優れた演色性を示し、高い電力効率を得、更に電流密度が変化しても発光色の変化が小さい有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子を提供することを特徴とする。
