Abstract

[PROBLEMS] A headrest using a headrest frame that can use drive force of both manual and electric actuators to allow the headrest to be used for both the manual and electric actuators, and a vehicle seat with such a headrest. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The headrest can be set to a head support position where the headrest is erected relative to the backrest and to a stowed position where the headrest is tilted from the head support position. The head rest includes a pillar (1) mounted on the upper part of the backrest (S2), a headrest frame (2) constructed by combining a main frame (21) and a subframe (22) that are pivotally engaged with the pillar (1), headrest frame urging means (3) for urging the headrest frame (2) to one side, lock means (4) capable of preventing relative pivoting between the headrest frame (2) and the pillar (1), and a ratchet lever (44) for operating the lock means. An installation hole (22m) for installing an electric actuator is formed at a predetermined position on the subframe (22).
