Abstract

　活動量計測システムは、継続して計測される活動強度に基づいて、所定の計測期間においてなされた積極的な運動量を示す運動指標（ＥＸ）と、日常の生活活動の運動量を示す生活活動指標（ＤＡ）とを算出し、Ｘ－Ｙマトリックス平面内に、これらの指標の組み合わせである活動要素Ａ（ｘ、ｙ）を表示する。運動指標（ＥＸ）は、所定の基準値を超える活動強度が測定される時間とその活動強度の積を上記の計測期間に亘って集計したものとして第１演算手段にて算出される。生活活動指標（ＤＡ）は、上記の所定期間に亘る使用者の消費エネルギを基礎代謝量で除したものとして第２演算手段にて算出される。消費エネルギは、基準値未満の単位時間当たりの活動強度と、使用者の身体的特徴を示すデータとの関数として求められ、基礎代謝量は使用者の身体的特徴のデータに基づいて計算される。このような身体的特徴のデータはシステム内の個人情報データテーブルに保持される。
