Abstract

 表示品質を落とすことなく消費電力を低減可能な携帯電話端末を提供する。基準輝度値テーブル(5a)に表示画像の階調に応じたバックライト(3)の輝度レベルを基準輝度値として登録し、バックライト輝度設定値テーブル(6a)に基準輝度値に対応するLEDドライバ(4)への駆動信号の信号レベルを輝度設定値として登録し、ガンマ補正値テーブル(7a)に表示画像の階調に応じた液晶パネルの駆動レベルを補正する値をガンマ補正値として登録する。バックライト輝度設定値テーブル(6a)から取得した駆動信号の信号レベルでLEDドライバ(4)を駆動し、かつ、ガンマ補正値テーブル(7a)から取得したガンマ補正値で補正した値でLCDドライバ(2)を駆動し、画像を表示する。各テーブルからの取得値は、ユーザ、使用シーン、照度センサ(11)の検出結果により変更可能である。
