Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de distillation d'azote d'un mélange gazeux contenant de l'azote et de l'oxygène. Le liquide résiduel enrichi en oxygène est partiellement vaporisé à l'intérieur d'un premier échangeur thermique pour condenser une partie du distillat de tête de colonne pour produire un reflux. Après ceci, le liquide enrichi en oxygène et partiellement vaporisé subit une séparation de phases. Un second courant de liquide enrichi en oxygène et composé d'au moins une partie de la phase liquide est utilisé pour substantiellement condenser tout ou partie du courant de vapeur provenant de ladite séparation de phases, pour ainsi former un courant de liquide riche en azote. Au moins une partie du courant de liquide riche en azote est réintroduite dans la colonne pour faire augmenter la récupération d'azote. Le second courant de liquide enrichi en oxygène est alors utilisé pour condenser une seconde partie du reflux de la colonne.
