Abstract

A buckle assembly (50) includes a first housing (52) and a second housing (54) removably connected to the first housing. Each of the first and second housings may include a main body (59, 60) connected to an outwardly bowed strap bar (62, 64) through outwardly angled lateral walls (66, 68), such that a strap channel (70, 72) is formed between the main body, the outwardly bowed strap bar and the outwardly angled lateral walls. The strap bar may provide a strap clearance area between a strap (86, 88) secured to the strap bar and a body to which the buckle assembly is secured.
