Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de détection et/ou d'identification d'Escherichia coli (E. coli) dans un échantillon biologique selon lequel a) on ensemence l'échantillon biologique susceptible de contenir E. coli sur un milieu de détection comprenant du tryptophane et un substrat d'une enzyme A, exprimée par la majorité des E. coli pour obtenir des colonies de bactéries; b) on détecte les colonies exprimant l'activité de l'enzyme A, et on les identifie comme étant E. coli ; c) on détecte les colonies n'exprimant pas l'activité de l'enzyme A, on réalise un test indole, et on identifie les colonies ayant un test indole positif comme étant E. coli.
