Abstract

Disclosed is a coating film production method which can produce a coating film having a small internal stress and less deformation. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a cured electrodeposition coating film, which comprises the steps of: immersing a material to be coated in a cationic electrodeposition coating composition to produce an uncured electrodeposition coating film; and burning/curing the electrodeposition coating film, wherein the cationic electrodeposition coating composition comprises a pigment-dispersed paste comprising (i) a pigment and (ii) a compound selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid, a derivative thereof, an amine compound and a mixture of two or more of them, the pigment (i) comprises a black pigment and therefore the cationic electrodeposition coating composition has a black color, the cationic electrodeposition coating composition has a solid content of 3 to 25 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the electrodeposition coating composition, and the finished cured electrodeposition coating film has an internal stress of 0.05 to 1.50 kg/mm2.
