Abstract

Generation of slagging is suppressed in a pulverized coal burner. A nozzle body (6) opening toward a furnace (1), carrying pulverized coal and injecting it together with primary air (14) finally becoming combustion air has an outer tube nozzle (8), and an inner tube nozzle (9) provided in the outer tube nozzle (8) concentrically thereto. A fuel conduction space (10) is formed between the outer tube nozzle (8) and the inner tube nozzle (9), and at least one of the outer tube nozzle (8) and the inner tube nozzle (9) is provided with a straightening plate (29) projecting into the fuel conduction space (10) and extending in the axial direction of the nozzle body. The combustion air (primary air (14)) containing pulverized coal is ejected through the fuel conduction space (10).
