Abstract
The invention relates to a method for fastening a retaining element (1) to a roof (30). The retaining element (1) comprises at least one bottom wall (2), the bottom face of which can be placed on a roof surface (31). According to the invention, the bottom wall (2) of the retaining element has at least two opposite, free edge sections (3) and a top face (4) which is freely accessible between said edge sections (3) and on which a flexible strip (5) is placed that extends across the opposite edge sections (3). The flexible strip sections (5a, 5b) that protrude from the edge sections (3) are connected, particularly welded or glued, to the roof surface without penetrating the external roof sealing layer.
