Abstract

La présente invention concerne un affichage vidéo permettant d'atténuer une rémanence d'image conjointement à la conservation d'informations quand des informations se trouvent dans les masques latéraux sur les deux côtés d'une vidéo ayant un rapport d'aspect de 4:3. Une section de détection de masques latéraux (1) détecte s'il existe des masques latéraux gauche et droit ajoutés à gauche et à droite de la vidéo correspondant à un signal vidéo d'entrée (vi). Si tel est le cas, la section de détection de masques latéraux (1) identifie les positions des masques latéraux gauche et droit et une section de calibrage de masques latéraux (2) calibre l'affichage des masques latéraux gauche et droit détectés, puis l'affiche sur un écran d'affichage à plasma (3). Il est ainsi possible d'atténuer la rémanence d'une partie des masques latéraux gauche et droit.
