Abstract

Provided is a radio terminal which can transmit and receive radio terminal position information even when communication between a radio base station and the radio transmission terminal is not established on a layer more significant than a MAC layer. The radio terminal (10) includes a MAC message processing unit (12) which generates a terminal MAC message T containing position information data Q indicating the current position of the radio terminal (10). The terminal MAC message T is transmitted in the MAC layer of the radio terminal (10) and the radio base station (100).
