Abstract

Provided is a method capable of changing the direction/shape of a converging portion and the degree of convergence arbitrarily. The tape type disposable diaper comprises a fastening tape (5) including fixed portions (5f) fixed on the side flap portions (SF) of a back side portion and protruding portions (5e) protruding from the back side portion. These protruding portions (5e) have leading end portions (5p) equipped with connecting portions (9), and body portions (5b) closer to the base end sides than the leading end portions (5p). The fastening tape (5) has a basic non-woven fabric layer (51) extending over the fixed portions (5f), the body portions (5b) and the leading end portions (5p), and a reinforcing non-woven fabric layer (52) fixed on the fixed portions (5f) and the leading end portions (5p) of the basic non-woven fabric layer (51). An elongated elastic member (20) is fixed in such an extended state along directions across the vertical directions that it rides over at least the fixed portions (5f) and the body portions (5b) and over the body portions (5b) and the leading end portions (5p) of the fastening tape (5).
