Abstract

【課題】ガラス表面の一点に集中的に加えられる反復的な衝撃力に対しても高い耐貫通性や優れた耐衝撃性を有し、軽量で構造的に負担がかからず、経済性をも有する合わせガラスを提供する。 【解決手段】合わせガラス10は、厚さ0.7mmの薄板ガラスをガラス層11として7層積層し、各ガラス層11間にそれぞれ厚さ0.5mmのポリビニルブチラール(PVB)樹脂を樹脂層12として介装したもので、ガラス層11と樹脂層12とを合わせて合計13層の積層体である。互いに隣接するガラス層11と樹脂層12において、ガラス層11の厚さに対する樹脂層12の厚さの比(樹脂層12の厚さ/ガラス層の厚さ11)は0.71である。また、樹脂層12の母材樹脂としてポリビニルブチラール(PVB)樹脂を使用したが、それ以外にエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)やメタクリル樹脂(PMA)を使用してもよい。
