Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel salt of tegaserod, tegaserod benzoate, and also to polymorphic forms of this salt. The invention further relates to processes for the preparation of the salt and polymorphic forms. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the salt, optionally in a polymorphic form, and to uses of said compositions for treating patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorders.
