Abstract

The present invention relates to various novel salts of tegaserod and to novel polymorphic forms of various salts of tegaserod, including polymorphic forms of tegaserod succinate, tartrate, malonate, camphor sulphonate, mandelate, oxalate and fumarate. The invention further relates to processes for the preparation of these novel salts and novel polymorphic forms. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these novel salts or novel polymorphs, and to uses of said compositions for treating patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorders.
