Abstract

Assembly for absorbing energy by deformation, in particular for a seat of a motor vehicle in case of impact, said assembly comprising a first energy absorption device (2) and a second energy absorption device (4) that are intended to be inserted between a first element (6) and a second element (8) in order to hold them relative to each other while absorbing high stresses exerted between said first element (6) and second element (8), said first energy absorption device (2) and said second absorption device (4) being positioned in series and able to be loaded in a staged manner in a direction of deformation in the event of stress being exerted on the energy absorption assembly.
