Abstract

The invention is to link two or more in dependant stationed washing unite in series, starts with the unite loaded with less soil content pass the washing water with its detergent to the next unite without any treatment. The second washing unite has an option to add a final rinsing cycle with fresh water. It result in less quantity of polluted water, saving water, energy, detergent and time.

Description

Dual drum washing machine
Technical field
The invention concerns with water saving in any type of washing machines, for clothes or dishes, domestic or industrial. The invention rely on re-usage of the same water without any treatment .if we assume the water recycling include some sort of treatments Background art
In the last two decades a worldwide high attention is given to the in house water saving, through improved technology, water recycling and water re-usage. The current household usage in clothes washing constitutes between 22% and 30% of the total water consumption in houses. Washing techniques moved from top loading machine to the front loading which is more economical in water usage. This invention dose not eliminate any feature added by washing machine designers, it just reuses the water, the invention would be more environment friendly as it dispose less polluted water, and insure four saving features (water, energy, detergent & time) Disclosure of the invention All of laundry operations start with sorting the items to be washed into categories based on soil content, on color fastness in cloth, resistance to a specific operation or material in other washing then chooses the appropriate cycles. At least we could find two type of soil content of the clothes to be washed in most cases, load the two types of clothes each in a separate drum where the less soil on top drum, and start the cycles in sequence with the flow of the water. In this case the top drum will be filled with fresh water, start the first step (prewash or initial wash) after the first cycle is completed, it drains its content of water with its soap under gravity (or pumped) to the second drum, starts spinning for extracting extra water, the load of the down water filled drum works as dumper during spinning of the upper drum, the next step is to start a washing cycle of the second drum while filling the top one with new water, the lower drum drains to sewer, the next cycle goes back to the top drum and so on. the lower drum could have additional cycle for short final rinsing with fresh water beside other normal control of adding detergent, softener or more hot water The two drums could have completely separate programs for washing and the system adjusted with requirement by adding the material to reach the condition of cycles, the common is that the upper drum has the cycle with higher water temperature, it will lose some of its temperature during washing it will be suitable for second level of wash It is easy in special cases to eliminate a cycle in the lower drum by directly draining to sewer from top drum, or add a cycle by filling directly the lower drum. Industrial applicability
The invention is very simple, it is just as we are putting two automatic washing unite in series where the discharged water of the first one is the feeding of the second one with option of input fresh water directly to the second machine, merging the two machines in one with two drum then the program of the top drum is linked to the program of lower drum. The cycle of the automatic machine involves an idle time of the main drive motor in the time for filling and discharging of water, the two automatic washing machines could be combined together to be run by a single motor with one single control panel and two detergent dispensers, this will give the option of adding more detergent to the second washing machine, an option could be added to have a final rinsing cycle of the second washing unite with fresh water.
Description of drawing
Fig (1) shows the shape of the proposed washing machine the main knob (1) ,detergent dispenser of upper drum (2)dispenser &lower drum (3) upper drum(4) lower drum (5) the program knobs of the upper drum (6),water level selection(7) the program knobs of the lower drum (8) extra rinse selection of lower drum (9)
Fig (2) shows the flow charts of water where the main fresh water supply (16) fills drum (4) directly (17) or through detergent dispenser (18) .feeding drum (5) directly through (14)or through dispenser (15) .
The after washing or rinse water out of drum (4) goes through (10) to drum (5) or to sewer (12) through pipe (11) the lower drum (5) discharges its water to sewer (12)
