Abstract

光の入射端面、出射端面および互いに平行に位置する複数の反射面から形成され、クラッドに埋設された互いに平行にｍ列ｎ行（但し、ｍおよびｎは２以上）の３次元配列されたＬ字型コアの端面が入射端面と出射端面に露出し、各行のｍ本のＬ字型コアがｎ枚の平坦な反射面で光の方向を変えて光を入射端面から出射端面に導く構造を有し、入射端面の隣り合う２行のコア間隔と出射端面の対応する２行のコア間隔とが異なることを特徴とした多チャンネル光導波路素子が開示されている。
