Abstract

 隣り合う画素領域(5α・5β)の間隙に対応して保持容量配線(18x)が設けられ、該保持容量配線(18x)と重なるように容量電極(27xa・27xb)が設けられ、隣り合う画素領域(5α・5γ)の間隙に対応して保持容量配線(18y)が設けられるとともに該保持容量配線(18y)と重なるように容量電極(27ya・27yb)が設けられ、画素領域(5α)に設けられた第1の画素電極(17a)は隣り合う保持容量配線(18x・18y)の一方(18x)と重なる容量電極(27xa)に電気的に接続されるとともに画素領域(5α)に設けられた第2の画素電極(17b)は他方(18y)と重なる容量電極(27yb)に電気的に接続され、第1の画素電極(17a)と容量電極(27xa)とを電気的に接続する中継配線(27ia)が設けられている。上記構成によれば、1画素に複数の画素電極を有する画素分割方式のアクティブマトリクス基板において、保持容量配線の数を抑制しつつ各画素電極の形状の自由度を高めることができる。
