Abstract

Provided are an illuminating apparatus and an illuminating system which are applicable to users having color vision defects and those having normal color vision. An illuminating system (1) is provided with an illuminating device (2), a display section (3), an input section (4), a controller (5) and a pair of polarized light blocking glasses (6). The illuminating device (2) is provided with a first light radiation section (11) for radiating first light (L1), which is linear polarized light having spectrum for aiding color vision of a user (U1) having a color vision defect, and a second light radiation section (12) for radiating second light (L2), which is linear polarized light whose polarization direction orthogonally intersects with that of the first light (L1). The polarized light blocking glasses (6) are provided for blocking the second light (L2).
