Abstract
In the paper machine blade holder equipped with the elastic tubes 2, 4 and 5 back of the blade 3, or the pressure plate, is supported on the tube 2 filled with fluid favorable liquid and on the other side of the blade 3 there is another tube 4, shifted relatively to the tube 2, also filled with fluid favorable liquid and the third tube 5 connected to the source of compressed air.
Description
Paper machine doctor blade holder
The subject of innovation is the paper machine doctor blade holder in which the angle between the blade plane and velocity vector plane of the roll is an acute one. The main function of the doctor is surface cleaning of the roll or cylinder, friction conditioning of cylinder surface, as well as taking off paper from the roll or cylinder and/or creeping of the paper.
There are many well known constructions of doctors which consist of the blade, its holder, doctor back and connectors - elements, which are joining above mentioned parts together.
There are holders in which blades are supported on the rigid surfaces as well as on the elastic elements, which provides more uniform pressure distribution along the holder length. Popular elastic elements are rubber pads and pressure plates - supporting blade in the middle of its width, as well as teflon tubes filled with liquid which supports back of the blade. hi the holder being subject of innovation the back of the blade or the elastic pressure plate with blade fixing elements is supported on the tube filled with fluid - favorable liquid. On the other side of the blade there is another tube filled with fluid favorable liquid, shifted relatively to the first one and the third one connected to the source of compressed air or alternatively specially shaped flat spring elements.
As both sides of the blade are supported by the tubes filled with liquid the bending force is transmitted by tubes to the holder trunk. Thanks to the liquid the reaction of tubes on the blade is uniform on the whole length of the blade, so uniform distribution of pressure is achieved between the blade and the roll, even in the case, when the roll is cambered.
The enclosed sketch shows schematic of the holder and the concept of the innovation.
The main body of the holder 1 contains the tube filled with liquid 2 which supports the blade 3. Over the blade 3 there is another tube 4, also filled with liquid and shifted with regard to the tube 2 and the third tube 5 connected to the source of compressed air.
In the holder being object of the innovation liquid flows from places of higher load to the places of lower load.
Volumetric change of liquid in the tube 2 or tube 4 alters an angle between the blade 3 and the plane perpendicular to the roll in the point of contact of the blade to the roll.

Claim
What I claim is the paper machine blade holder equipped with the elastic tubes in which the back of the blade 3 is supported on the tube 2 filled with fluid favorable liquid and on the other side of the blade 3 there is another tube 4, shifted relatively to the tube 2, also filled with liquid and the third tube 5 connected to the source of compressed air.
