Abstract
L'invention concerne des films polymères métallisés améliorés ainsi qu'un procédé pour les préparer. De tels films comprennent : a) au moins une couche polymère superficielle traitée comprenant du butylène et b) une couche de métal déposée sur l'une au moins des surfaces de ladite couche polymère superficielle. La couche polymère superficielle peut comprendre un copolymère propylène-butylène ou un terpolymère éthylène-propylène-butylène, ledit copolymère ou terpolymère contenant d'environ 4 % en poids à environ 12 % en poids de butylène. La couche polymère superficielle est de préférence préconditionnée en soumettant l'une de ses surfaces extrêmes à un traitement au plasma destiné à faciliter le dépôt, sur ladite surface, d'une couche de métal fortement adhésive, le métal étant de préférence de l'aluminium. Les films multicouches ainsi produits font preuve d'une force d'adhérence du métal au moins égale à environ 100 grammes/25 mm. Ces films font aussi de préférence preuve d'un taux de transmission de la vapeur d'eau d'environ 0,05 à environ 0,2 g/m2/24 h, et d'un taux de transmission de l'oxygène d'environ 5,0 à environ 20 cm3/m2/24 h.
