Abstract

The motor vehicle seat (10) comprises a frame (14) capable of being mounted on the floor (12) of the vehicle, a seat cushion (16) connected to the frame (14) and a backrest (18) connected to the frame (14). The seat cushion (16) comprises an inspection hatch (34) capable selectively of adopting a position in which it uncovers a pit (38) providing access to a space located under the seat (10) through the seat cushion (16) and a position in which it closes off the access pit (38).
