Abstract
L'invention concerne la longueur de chaque manivelle de pédale (2) d'une bicyclette qui varie de façon à s'allonger lors de la course descendante (donnant ainsi au cycliste un avantage mécanique plus important) et à se raccourcir lors de la course ascendante. L'extension/la rétraction de la manivelle (2) résulte du mouvement alternatif de broches (10) maintenues dans des alésages dans la manivelle (2). Des changements de la longueur de la manivelle (2) se produisent automatiquement pendant sa rotation en raison d'un galet de came (5) sur la manivelle (2) qui est contraint à suivre une rainure de came circulaire (4) qui est décalée vers l'avant et quelque peu vers le haut par rapport au vilebrequin (1), et fixe par rapport au cadre de la bicyclette (7).
