Furthermore, as will be explained later on in this description, these connecting means may also provide for the movement of the shuttle 2 from its extended position to its retracted position.
  • the folded-down position of the cover element 21, which hides the housing 200 containing the cosmetic product, is obtained when the said shuttle 2 is in the retracted position.
  • the deployed position of the cover element, which opens access to the housing containing cosmetic product, is obtained when the said shuttle 2 is in the extended position.
  • the said connecting means 3 are under tension which increases as the said shuttle 2 is moved from its retracted position to its extended position. Conversely, the said connecting means 3 are under a tension which decreases as the said shuttle 2 is moved from its extended position to its retracted position.
  • movement of the shuttle 2 from its retracted position to its extended position, and deployment of the cover element 21 relative to the plate 20, are accompanied by a stressing of the connecting means 3.
  • movement of the shuttle 2 is essentially the result of the pulling of the shuttle 2, and in particular of the plate 20, via the grasping means 4. This pulling corresponds to a force that increases the tension in the connecting means .
  • the extended position is stable and can be maintained without the need to sustain a pulling force on the shuttle. This is because the connecting means 3 under tension, exert a pulling action on the cover element 21 to bring the latter into abutment against the edge 10.
  • the cover element 21 forms an angle strictly greater than 90° with respect to the plate 20.
  • moving the shuttle 2 from its extended position into its retracted position and thus folding down the cover element 21 relative to the plate 20, is accompanied by a reduction in the tension in the connecting means 3.
  • the shuttle 2 is moved from its extended position into its retracted position by pushing the shuttle, and particularly the plate, into the case.
  • Such a return to the retracted position is facilitated by the connecting means which have a tendency to revert to a less stressed condition.
  • the said connecting means 3 are elastically deformable.
  • These connecting means may then be in the form of a simple elastic band made of any elastomer, or alternatively may be in the form of a spring of the tension type, such as a spiral -wound coil spring.
  • the connecting means may be formed of a natural or synthetic rubber band of rectangular cross section preferably measuring around 1 mm by 2 mm, and with a stiffness preferably of 17 N/m.
  • any other shape of cross section is permissible, and the stiffness could advantageously range between 3 and 100 N/m, according to the desired effect.
  • the shuttle 2 is moved from its retracted position into the deployed position against the action of the force exerted by the connecting means 3.
  • the user has merely to give the shuttle 2 some impetus, either by folding the cover element 21 down slightly onto the plate 20, or by pushing the plate 20 into the case.
  • this avoids the user having to return the shuttle to its retracted position completely by hand.
  • the method employed is that of folding the cover element 21 down or that of pushing the plate 20, all that is required is for the cover element 21 to be brought into at least one unstable intermediate position.
  • An intermediate position of the cover element 21 such as this therefore lies between its deployed position and its folded-down position and allows the shuttle to be moved between the retracted position and the extended position merely as a tension of the connecting means 3 on the cover element 21.
  • the angular position of the cover element in the intermediate position is dependent for the most part on the characteristics of the connecting means 3 used.
  • Suitable stiffness of the connecting means as indicated hereinabove may, in the retracted position, restrict or even prevent any accidental movement of the shuttle 2 relative to the case from its retracted position to its extended position.
  • the housing 201 containing the cosmetic product is more difficult to uncover thus avoiding any risk of accidental loss of product, for example when the compact is being carried around in a handbag, and therefore avoiding any soiling of items in contact with the said product.
  • a stiffness such as this may allow the shuttle to be moved quickly and easily from its extended position to its retracted position, requiring very little effort on the part of the user.
  • the connecting means 3 bend.
  • an acute angle is formed between two portions 30, 31 of the connecting means 3.
  • the two portions 30, 31 extending from the bend formed display a tension Tl and a tension T2 respectively.
  • the tension Tl is defined between the fixing portion 300 and this bend.
  • the tension T2 for its part is defined between this bend and the fixing portion 301.
  • the tensions Tl and T2 differ from one another. This is because once the bend forms, the tension T2 remains stable while the tension Tl still varies until such time as the cover element 21 has reached its deployed position.
  • a configuration of connecting means 3 such as this allows the cover element 21 to be stabilized in the deployed position and thus stabilizes the shuttle 2 in the extended position.
  • the angle between the cover element 21 and the plate 20 ranges between 90° and 170°, advantageously between 110° and 150°, and preferably measures 120°.
  • the said cover element may come into abutment against the edge 10 of the case when the shuttle is in the extended position.
  • An edge such as this may possibly have a chamfer 100.
  • the connecting means when the fixing portion 301 of the connecting means is designed to be near the attached hinge pin 60 (not depicted) , when the cover element is in the deployed position, the connecting means may lie in a straight line, rather than be bent. During the movement of the shuttle from the retracted position into the extended position, the tension in the connecting means then increases substantially uniformly and evenly.
  • the connecting means 3 comprise at least one portion running in a direction Y distinct from the direction X in which the hinge pin of the cover element 21 runs.
  • These two directions X and Y are preferably mutually perpendicular. An orientation such as this improves the movement of the shuttle 2 with respect to the case 1 and in particular makes it easier for the cover element 21 to move.

  • illumination means could for example be situated on the second face 211 of the cover element and, in particular, above the mirror 5.
  • These illumination means could, for example, illuminate automatically when the cover element 21 is deployed and could be switched off automatically as soon as the cover element returns to the folded-down position.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un poudrier destiné à un produit d'emballage, en particulier un produit cosmétique, qui comprend : - un boîtier ; - une navette capable de se déplacer dans ledit boîtier entre une position rétractée et une position déployée, ladite navette se composant d'une plaque conçue pour recevoir ledit produit et d'un élément couvrant monté de manière amovible sur ledit boîtier ; - des moyens de raccord reliant ladite navette audit boîtier et entraînant le mouvement dudit élément couvrant lorsque ladite navette se déplace de sa position rétractée à sa position déployée, où lesdits moyens de raccord sont soumis à une tension qui s'accroît lors du mouvement correspondant au passage de la position rétractée à la position déployée.
