Abstract

Transporting system for introducing biomass into a gasifier, comprising: a stuffing screw (9), which forces the biomass into the gasifier, wherein the stuffing screw is formed in such a way that the biomass is compressed, in order on the one hand to provide a feed against a pressure in the gasifier and on the other hand to leave gas and bedding material in the gasifier, with a shut-off slide (16, 11), which is adjacent to the stuffing screw and during downtimes shuts off the stuffing screw such that heat, vapour and gas cannot escape.
