Abstract

L'invention concerne des dispositifs à micro-aiguille(s) et des procédés de fabrication et d'utilisation de ceux-ci. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un dispositif permettant la libération prolongée d'un médicament à travers ou dans une barrière biologique telle que la peau. Ce dispositif peut comporter un substrat de base comprenant un médicament dispersé dans une matière de matrice, et une ou plusieurs micro-aiguilles s'étendant à partir du substrat de base, la ou les micro-aiguilles comportant une matière soluble ou gonflable dans l'eau, matière grâce à laquelle la ou les micro-aiguilles se dissolvent ou gonflent après avoir été introduites dans la barrière biologique, permettant ainsi le passage du médicament du substrat de base dans la barrière biologique.
