Abstract

Appareil et méthodes de traitement de la fibrillation auriculaire donnant la possibilité de surveiller les tissus à retirer avec visualisation directe des paramètres tissulaires (tels que température et impédance), ceci avant, pendant et après l'ablation. Ce système peut faire appel à un cathéter de déploiement auquel est fixé un capuchon d'imagerie déployable en position dépliée. Le capuchon d'imagerie est amené contre les tissus à représenter7visualiser dans une lumière du corps normalement remplie d'un liquide organique opaque tel que du sang. Un liquide translucide ou transparent peut être pompé dans le capuchon d'imagerie jusqu'à ce qu'il chasse le sang et dégage une région claire de tissus à représenter au moyen d'un élément imageur du cathéter de déploiement. Une sonde d'ablation et une ou plusieurs aiguilles d'interrogation dotées de capteurs peuvent être avancées dans les tissus à retirer et à surveiller. Une variante concerne l'emploi d'une sonde d'ablation et d'interrogation combinée.
