Abstract

The object of the invention is C8 or higher, linear or branched, fatty chain (meth)acrylic polymers that may have at least one ethylene unsaturation, that have low molecular weight and are free of sulfur-containing, metallic and halogenated compounds. The invention also relates to a method of synthesizing polymers by free-radical polymerization in solvent medium with a very fast seeding system. These polymers are particularly usable in formulations that can be used in different sectors of application such as solvated acrylic resins with high solids content or even oil additives and in particular lubricants.
