Abstract

The invention relates to antimicrobial microparticles which contain at least one isothiazolinone and optionally one or more other biocides as the biocidal substance. The biocidal substance is embedded in an aminoplastic resin which is selected from the group including urea resins, urethane resins, cyan resins, dicyandiamide resins, aniline resins, sulfonamide resins, or a mixture from two or more of said resins, and is released slowly from the same.
