Abstract

複数画像を高速で切り替えて表示する表示装置において、表示装置への信号入力を行うコントローラやドライバの駆動周波数を低減させ、駆動周波数を増加させることなく画像を明るくすることが可能な表示装置の実現を目的とする。複数の走査線と複数のデータ線との各交差点に対応して設けられた複数の画素からなる表示画面（１）と、複数の走査線を駆動する走査線駆動手段（２）と、複数のデータ線を駆動するデータ線駆動手段（３）とを有し、これらの駆動手段を働かせて２種類以上の画像を順次繰り返し表示する画像表示制御手段（４）を有する表示手段本体（５）を備えた表示装置で、画像表示制御手段（４）は、順次表示される２種類以上の画像のうち、少なくとも1 種類の画像について、走査線駆動手段（２）に複数の走査線のうち２本以上を同時に選択させる。
