Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung zum Falten einer intraokularen Linse (33) weist zwei durch ein Scharnier (17) verbundene Halbschalen (13, 15) auf, welche mit an den Halbschalen (13, 15) ausgebildeten Flügeln relativ zueinander bewegt werden können, um die intraokulare Linse zu falten. Um die gleiche Vorrichtung für Linsen verschiedenen Durchmessers verwenden zu können, besitzen die Halbschalen statt der bisher üblichen Nuten zum Erfassen der Linsenränder eine besondere Formgebung, bei der die Seitenwände (35), wenn die Vorrichtung in geschlossenem Zustand betrachtet wird, parallel zur Symmetrieachse (37) und die obere Wandungsabschnitte (39) praktisch rechtwinklig zu den Seitenwänden (35) verlaufen. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass auch bei einem grossen Öffnungswinkel der Vorrichtung die Linse vor dem Falten sicher gehalten wird, was ein fabrikseitiges Vorladen der Linse (33) in einen Injektor (51) ermöglicht. Eine als Kartusche (11') ausgebildete Vorrichtung besitzt eine Steckvorrichtung (41) zum Einstecken in das Gehäuse (45) eines Injektors (51). Mit einem Schieber (57) der eine Blockiervorrichtung (59) aufweist kann der Flügel (19) blockiert werden. Vor der Operation kann der Schieber zurückgezogen und die vorgeladene Linse durch Verschwenken des Flügels (19) gefaltet und dann injiziert werden.
