В конкретном примере использован коммутатор D-Liпk DES-1024DG, имеющий 22 порта 10/100 Мбит и 2 медных порта типа Gigаbit Еthеrпеt. Пульты 3,4....n учащихся представляют собой полностью интегрированные на материнских платах типа MB VIA EPIA ML персональные компьютеры; в качестве средств ввода и представления информации пульты 3,4....n содержат сенсорные мониторы 5,6.... n3 соответственно, типа ЗМ Тоuсh Sуstеms 15" Ml 50 фирмы "Мицубиси", Япония. В конкретном примере элементы системы соединены кабелем локальной сети типа Еthеrпеt (патч-корд), однако возможно использование и беспроводной связи. Система работает следующим образом. При приеме экзамена преподаватель управляет процессом проведения экзамена с помощью пульта 1. При этом он вводит вручную или с использованием сканера штрих-кода номер экзаменационной карточки экзаменуемого учащегося или его другие персональные данные, а также указывает ему номер персонального пульта. После того, как экзаменуемые займут указанные им пульты 3,4....n, на сенсорных мониторах 5,6....n отображаются их персональные данные, а также краткая инструкция по использованию персонального пульта и порядок контроля знаний (сдачи экзамена). После того, как преподаватель с пульта 1 дает команду "начать" (на все пульты 3,4....n или на часть их), на соответствующих сенсорных мониторах 5,6....n высвечивается участок с надписью "экзамен".
